So, I had posted a little blue cabochon a few days back of some self-collected material I thought might be Lawsonite. I still don't know for sure, but @shotgunner sent me a nice little chunk of GIA certified Lawsonite from his neck of the woods for comparison. He down-played the quality a little so I wasn't expecting much, but I just received his package today and to my pleasure it turned out to be a beautiful specimen. It's a lot more blue than I thought it was going to be...My specimen (whatever it is) has a little richer hue to it, but the colors aren't too far apart. The matrix is completely different though... Eventually, I'll upload photos of the rock he sent me with a couple of my unknowns for comparison.
Thanks for sending that up, Scott!

My pleasure Chris. My pleasure indeed. BTW, ur color blind!! The piece I sent, to me, was straw tan. If/when I find the box of nodules, I may send you another piece. You need more than that little cutoff!
