I am in need of a pound or three of medium sized polished stones to give away to kids that have an interest in rocks. Lots of folks stop by mt booth with kids in tow and some of them show an interest that needs feeding. I have just about exhausted my self tumbled supply and don't want to deal with the little almost worn out tumbler I have in order to make more. They don't need to be anything large or terribly exotic. Pet wood is always popular, but mostly just need a decent mix of materials and colors. I even thought about buying the commercially tumbled stones and having one of those "Fill a bag for $X" displays, but kids just light up when you give them a pretty rock for free The polish on them doesn't have to be flawless even, so PM me with what you would part with and how much. Even a sfrb full would be plenty for now Thanks Radio

It surprised me that the dollar stores sell tumbled rocks too...Bought my granddaughter a bag..... It might get you out of a pickle till you get more tumbles from other hounders... Michaels sells them too...........

Michaels sells them too........... Those places never occurred to me. Kingsley North has tumbles for around $12 a pound if I don't get any nibbles here. Not looking for freebies, but obviously I don't want to give away too much money

If all else fails, most pet stores sell tumbled and polished stones for aquariums. Cheap too.

I asked for tumbled stones some time ago and got about 50#. If Chuck doesn't/can't (or whatever) fill your need; then I will. And that will be "paying it forward" as they were gifted to me too!

Send me your address - I've got several jars full just sitting around from when I first started. Might be good to mix in some CA variety.

They may be useful in your jewelry displays to fill empty space... ?? just a thought Hmmmm, could be. I have several slabs in the displays now to fill in some space. I bet the kiddos would love to see a whole pile of pretty polished rocks in there though! I always keep a small plastic tub of tumbled stones handy and tell them to pick one. I often fudge and let them pick two or three though

I'd like to see a picture of the tumbles in your display once you have it all set up. Sounds like a nice variety headed your way.

I have several slabs and even some nice polished specimen Agates and things in the cases now taking up space until I get enough jewelry to fill them

It's through the glass and with a cell phone so not the best quality Can any of you pick out the pieces of fake Turquoise? I keep a few pieces around so I can educate customers on what to watch for when buying Turquoise jewelry. I am amazed at the number of folks who show me pieces they have bought in the Southwest that are dyed Howlite, Magnasite, or worse yet, just epoxy dyed a lovely shade of Turquoise Blue

Very nice display. I could guess at which turquoise is fake but would probably be wrong.
