I am in need of a thumbnail sized piece of bright green man made opal for a repair. The customer lost the main stone in her ring and wants it replaced with as close of a match as possible. The ring has two smaller syn opals on each side of the shank. The main stone doesn't have to be an exact match, but I can't find Green anywhere, even on e bay
If you have a piece you would part with, please PM me details and price

I remember a few years back one of the larger jewelry supply houses used to sell a green synthetic opal. I checked Rio Grande and they have a Kiwi green colored simulated opal but this isn't the material I remember. www.riogrande.com/Product/Simulated-Kiwi-Opal-Block/07364011?Pos=6Here was another site I found on line you may want to look at. www.synthetic-opal.com/syntheticopalcolorchart.htmlIt may have even been Greiger's that carried it. And I think Kingsley North bought out part or all of Greiger's stock when Greiger's closed. If I can remember or find an old catalog of who it was that carried the green I remember I will post if for you. Larry C.

I have about 200 grams of blue. No green. Mine is Kyocera material, as is Morions.

Check out the slabs section on a website for flintknappers called Neolitics. I think I saw some on there the other day, but it may have been optical glass of some sort !
