Milwaukee folks may pay a bit more for lapidary equipment than we do in the NW but $1800 is still way too much unless it is pretty much brand new never used condition. Most I would recomend paying for a Lortone 18" is $1000- $1200 depending on condition of saw and blade.

good to know,lee! in general, i find craigslist in this area to be on the silly side with a lot of stuff. there's another guy selling lapidary stuff here in chicago and it seemed too high to even bother posting.
