Out of Alabama. Must be mountain/piedmont crystalline quartz gravel glued together very well by coastal silicates I guess. Binder is strong and similar to Texas binder in color and texture. Check out the non-agate pebbles. closer

Keith said that stuff was in truck full quantity at a little quarry. It would do a sphere and hold strong. I think Keith said it will cab.

I have some of this I got from a retired "rockologist" years ago from northern Alabama. It is very messy to cut with the iron like material as the glue when cutting. The material is really neat. A friend of mine would slab big chunks and sold the slabs to a lady that painted on them using the pebbles as part of the painting. She was very good at her painting !

It is very messy to cut with the iron like material as the glue when cutting. The same is said of Lavic materials. The saw blade removes the same blade thickness (kerf) of stone with every cut. No stone is any more dirty than another. Just with irony stuff like this or lavic we can see it better. If fact I like using oil messy with iron because it is easier to see when I have the slab thoroughly cleaned.
