This is like stickn a juicy bone 2 feet in front of a chained hungry dog. Fascinated with the material. Thanks.

Amazing stuff. That second picture with the botroydal one is really cool. Is that a plume agate inside the coral?

Glad they wet your whistle spirit. cobbled, those 'plumes' are corallites or tubes (in coral lingo) that were partially replaced. Each 'stalagmite' follows a corallite tube that each polyp lived in. Lower right you can see a long one cut in half.

I sure do love the hollows as specimens...but then I sure do love the ones with corallites for cabs...and the one with the swirl of colors....oh dang-it, I just love 'em all!

Lower right you can see a long one cut in half. Prime looking example! I was reading up on how the tentacles come out from the tube in search of food. Thanks.

Beautiful mish mash, jamesp!! These two... I walked down to the pile a couple of days and picked the hollow one in the first photo and cut it. Threw it in a pile going to Lagrange. Whilst out there today I clicked off a photo when taking pics of the others.

jamesp Another one remiss : ) I, too, like best the "empty" specimens AND the flowers in the last. You are the coral master! Choral? Corral?

Not familiar with Mad Max. Probably ok with that…. : ) Well said, probably better that way. It was not a skin flick by the way Tina Turner was in the cast if that helps....
