haha, bowlerite, fordite, is there anything cabbers won't try? I like that creativity and the kinds of folks who look at something 'out of the box' and find different ways use it. very cool!

Bowlerite makes some pretty neat cabs. Thanks for posting the link, broseph82. haha, bowlerite, fordite, is there anything cabbers won't try? I like that creativity and the kinds of folks who look at something 'out of the box' and find different ways use it. very cool! A couple of years ago, I found some computer chip hologram cabs created by Mitch Dale. Unfortunately, the website to the link in the post, cabsbymitch.com, does not work any longer. Instead, the link goes to a website that's in Japanese.? gemaddicts.com/forums/index.php?topic=1398.0 Computer chip hologram cab by Mitch Dale

Always been a natural materials guy myself. The nearest thing to unnatural that I ever cabbed was a piece of Desert Ironwood, just to see what would happen.

Really like your ironwood cab, jakesrocks! I have seen some ironwood boxes with carved tops in the House of Onyx magazine. Expensive stuff, too.

This was ironwood that I collected in the Wiley Wells area while hunting rocks. Some ignorant camper had chopped down a portion of an ironwood tree for fire wood. There were several hunks left laying on the ground, so I gathered them up, took them home and slabbed them. Hard stuff to cut on a band saw,and the dust from this wood is toxic.
