oh, the light dawned. Agate might be harder to get in small batches because it is being bought by the ton in China to manufacture these. (right?)

Five years ago the prices quadrupled. The government had to restrict some of the aggressive mining practices for environmental reasons.

They are nipping at our heels Jan. Rapidly becoming a large manufacturing mogul. Now looking for something to spend their money on. Smart hard working folks, not so sure that we would want to live there though. do they have freedom ??

Not to my taste,that's for sure!!!!! I never did like dyed agates!! Natural is the only way to go... Looks like I better stock up on some Brazilian agate...I can still get it for a few bucks a pound around here..
