Hi,
Just an FYI. If you go into the clearance section you can order a FREE polished Bahia agate.

Oops hit that a mite early. Meant customer appreciation is what The Rock Shed is all about! I stopped in to visit while passing thru the Black Hills, the shop is a must see! Anyway I wanted to buy my neighbors grandson a Lortone double barrel tumbler because he is infatuated with my rock shop and shiny cabs snd tumbles. I explained to Shawn that Caleb is being raised by his grandparents, has that attention deficit thing and is having a lot of trouble passing his grade. Shawn threw in lots of nice colored rocks for Caleb! Caleb got it for Xmas and has finished two batches so far. Hey that ain't bad for a kid with ADD now is it. He is a great 12 year old. By the way he sometimes gets rocks in the mail. If you want his address pm me.
Didna mean to hijack the thread but The Rock Shed really does ROCK!!!

Oh I almost forgot the best rock hounding in the Black Hills of South Dakota is in the vacant lot across from The Rock Shed!!! They unload the trucks there and don't pick up the little rocks that spill! I got Caleb a whole barrel full there! LOL

LOL An ADD 12 year old male having patience enough to follow thru with a 12 week tumble seems amazing. Good on you Mr. Bill

Thank you Scott! He wants to make jewelry now with his kit but he wants cab type and not tumble type. So I got a small box of saw scrap, slabbets etc. from Kap/ Keith and now he is tumbling them to make tumbler cabs. I gave him enough smalls to fill the barrel one third full so I hope it wotks! He is impatient and opens the barrel almost everyday. His grandfather told me that when the tumbler isn't running it's hard to fall asleep!

Show him Bikerrandy's tumble pendants......

I picked out saw scrap that had a good shape from Kap box and the cut him enough to finish up his barrel. I figure a third of smalls and the rest of the barrel with Biker Randy style pendants will keep him busy. He wants them for Bible School at church. We r also trying to get some crosses cut out too. I am gonna let him put them in my Loto in order to get them done on time. Cross fingers cause Bible School is the third week in June.

It is coincidence, fate or a small world that brought me to the Rockshed. I drove my boys "out west" last year and we just happened to stop to check out the Rockshed, no other reason other than it was there and it looked cool. Not until I started reading this website did I realized that it is a respected mail order store as well!
Orrum, it is great that you are helping out Caleb, I am very familiar with ADHD and other learning disabilities. I hate hearing stories about schools not providing the support necessary for kids to be successful. Huge pat on the back for helping to create an outside support system, I am sure the crosses will be a big hit at bible camp!

Caleb trys and that's all that matters. Winston Churchill said that success is failure after failure but the willingness to keep trying. I think that's pretty close to the correct quote.
