Did you make it up there and if so how did you do? I've been up there once and didn't find much of anything useful - I know there is decent lapidary grade material there but all I found was lots and lots of colorful sandstone.

I've been up there once and didn't find much of anything useful - I know there is decent lapidary grade material there but all I found was lots and lots of colorful sandstone. We ended up hitting Lake Berryessa instead, and came home with quite a load of beautiful brecciated material. Might try to do a rhyolite/obsidian tour at the end of October though, hitting Lassen, Hayden Hill, then Fallon Nevada if I can. Always looking for advice when hitting new spots.

Nice! Number 4 and 5 are especially good. Hope you'll show us what you do to them.
