I know many of the members here work hard making spheres, but we don't see very many photos of the finished product. I would love to see photos of everybody's spheres in as many different kinds of materials as possible... so much time and effort should be viewed and appreciated! thanks! (and if you have spheres which you didn't make, post those too?) I may have a new form of this rock disease... sphereitis? I know I am not alone!

I was just telling the wife , maybe I should try to make a sphere machine after looking at all the lightning stone spheres. Something like the set it and forget it type would be perfect to keep up with mowing and everying outside. I must admit it has been appropriately placed on my honey do list. Should give me plenty of time to get parts..... Plenty of time. Oh well till then we'll enjoy this thread, come on folks roll em on out for Snowmom.

Picked up this sphere preform from an estate sale, and had someone make this gorgeous sphere for me. My first one!

I don't cut them myself but I've sometimes commissioned them made from material I've found or bought. My collection is really large. Don't want to tie up the page with my photos since I don't cut them myself but if you're curious, you can see a lot of my collection on peachfront.diaryland.com/pg3minsph.htmlJust for a teaser here's one I had made from gold Crazy Lace Agate in the early 90s:

You have some nice spheres on that page peachfront! But, my favorite piece in all those pictures is that piece of Tampa Bay agatized coral in the last picture. That's a much nicer shot of it then the picture you posted the other day. Lots of nice specimens, but that coral is a WOW!!

I like ocean jasper spheres, so much variety in color and patterns. Purchased these, have many more and always looking for more, kinda addictive.

The planet Uranus by @shotgunner Scott of coral. Thanks Scott. One thing I can say about say half this forum-imagination galore. The Montastrea just hit me Jean-duhh! A planet is perfect descript. Have you ever seen Uranus up close-JAMES!!! Forgive, couldn't help it. I thought it was agreed that it was the planet Montastrea. And just what is this fascination you have with Uranus, jamesp? read the full threadWhatever you call it, it is awesome sauce! Nice job, @shotgunner !

LOL at Uranus and general hilarity, should have guessed that would happen. All good. Peachfront and everybody else, post as many as you like, I want to come back to this page and admire often. It would give us a place on the creations page for new spheres too... really beautiful spheres so far, the form really shows off the materials they are made from. Keep posting (and thanks!)

I did not make these, but I did collect the petrified wood in the two, the agate one was made from an estate sale rock.
