Howdy folks, Feeding the chiggers for the day again yesterday but my weed whacking is pretty much done. Got me a few slabs cut at the same time. Here are a couple of pics. This one was getting nicer and nicer but I could not grip it anymore in the vice. Kind of a moss/flame. Fracture through the middle but pieces still real nice. Got lucky and it did not break and jamb the saw. Kind of a Woodward red plume type nodule. Would have good plume cut parallel to top and bottom but no way to vice it up.

I like the moss and plume effects to the material. Where did you get these jaspers? I don't know of all the regional types.

Adam, These are from Carizzo Springs, Texas, right on the Rio Grande river. Wide range of types found in the ancient gravels over a wide region, but they are generally classified as Rio Grande Agate....Mel

I see why they would be agate, cool and thanks for the info. Great pieces, really.

gorgeous cuts Mel, love the red and white, even with the fracture/seam the orange moss/flame is a fascinator.
