or so I've been told by my wife. So for the past two months I've been digging and hauling gravel to stock pile on our farm. So what happens when you turn a rockhound loose in a gravel pit? If they are me, their lunch cooler comes home heavier than when they left for work. I now have a few buckets filling up in the garage as my tumbler sadly can't keep up. I've found a nice little collection of agates, jaspers, pet wood and what I think is a chunk of jade. So anyone else get told by their spouse they have a problem? I told her to blame my dad he started it and keeps giving me more rocks to polish.

Hi Jessen, Welcome to RA (Rockhounder's Anonymous). I am not married so I do not have a spouse to tell me I have a problem. James

Well I'm hoping to get her to calm down a bit. I plan to use some of the rocks I find to use in a concrete table top. If she thinks I'm bad now, just wait until this fall when they lower the lake/river level and I go hunting for fossils/artifacts.

PLASE POST PICS OF YOUR FINDS I plan on doing that in a couple weeks once my current batch finishes. I also post pics of some of the rough I got at the moment.

I just let my wife read your post, and she laughed out load! I too, must confess my newly rekindled addiction. I can totally relate to the overflowing buckets of rocks, sitting in the garage, waiting for the 12lb and 3lb tumblers to finish their loads! I have discovered a newly opened river gravel bed, that is only 10 minutes from my office. I can fill a 40lb bag, with agate, Jasper, and fossils, in about an hour and it sucks me in, on a regular basis. The lunch box, comment hits way too close to home! Glad to know there are more out there, and I'm not crazy!
