First up, I now have everything for the slab saw I am building, so hopefully I can get it all put together next week and post the pictures in the other thread. One thing I've seen somewhere (it might of been here) is gluing rocks to a board with what I think was wood glue. If anyone knows if it was wood glue, would any wood glue work and is there a certain way to get the glue off of the rock? The second part is the tourmaline, my mom wants me to sell it on Ebay for her and I thought I better check if anyone knew what a good starting price would be before I mess that part up lol. The main part is watermelon, the part that makes it sort of heart shaped is red on top, yellow in the middle unless it is somehow the lighting, and green on the bottom, then covered on the side with green, and I'm guessing that it is far from perfect, but looks cool. (forgot to add it is 44 grams) Here are the pictures: drive.google.com/open?id=0B0gO2dw2ik27ODY4WmstNEZjY2Mdrive.google.com/open?id=0B0gO2dw2ik27Sk45OGN4bmVFRjgdrive.google.com/open?id=0B0gO2dw2ik27bkVWZDlNVS1WNm8drive.google.com/open?id=0B0gO2dw2ik27d2MzTHRhNVkydjQdrive.google.com/open?id=0B0gO2dw2ik27bzdXWUdwTXdKbXM

Yes wood glues are commonly used to stub rocks for better gripping in the vice. Any glue will probably work but don't get the waterproof versions as they will be harder to soak off in water. For really odd jobs and or challenges you CAN use the foaming Gorilla glue and indeed it too will soak off in water given time (and temperature extremes). But regular wood glue by Gorilla Glue works as well as the Elmer's or other white wood glues. I've never tried the Elmer's paper glue and would doubt that it would be strong enough. Glue onto a clean 2 x2 end (avoid a previously oiled wood block or renew it by cutting a fresh face), and wait 24 hrs before clamping it into the vice. Its best if you have a sort of flat face to contact the wood stub, or you should use the foaming glue and wooden shims to bolster the glue/rock/stub contact. I can't help with pricing. Good luck and have fun. Tom
