jamesp lol at your MOHs 5 comment. Just tried to scratch a piece with a quartz point and it just slid across the surface. Try again sir. My change out is about every 2 days or so in 3 Tbsp of 60/90. I add sugar or borax when I feel it's needed. Like to switch it up. I'll send you coordinates via PM. I could slice that with coral.

But we won't go there. Ha ha jamesp edit: I just used the sharp jagged edge of this piece of coral you gave me and didn't leave a lasting mark.

Someone feels cocky."one thorn of experience is worth a. Whole wilderness of warning" Dave Dave, who's being cocky? I just wanted to post what I've finished. I have yet to put anything in polish stage for 10 days until now. Just wanted to show some shiny rocks off. Not cocky in the least bit. Also I know some people ask to see the finished product so therefore I shared a picture. I'm not super anal about having perfect stones blemish free, but these didn't have the blemishes shown in the prepolish stage. I don't want to take them back down because of the shine so they will sit in a giant bowl for me kids and visitors to enjoy. I will however just go for a 3-6 day polish next time and see how it goes.

Good to know you were kidding. I didn't wanna feel like Glenn and his "granite" thread. I commented on someone's stuff months ago asking why he still left some pits and cracks and he said he still wanted to have some of that natural look. For the most part these rocks have stayed the shape in which I found them. I don't want to have to put all the extra in them with trimming with a saw, hammer, or whatnot. I don't sell my these rocks so they don't need to be "perfect". Plus, sometimes I cannot even tell if something tumbled (in gift shops) is even real because the stone is so perfect looking and feels not like a stone.
