Hello,
First of all I want to apologize for my weak english.
This is my problem:
Im currently making a prototype of a watch, Ive found gemstones that I want to use as detailes to my watch, the problem is I need them to be very small spheres around 1mm diameter or even smaller. Ive tried sandpaper but eventually the stones become so small that I cant hold them which makes it nearly impossible to grind them down to the size I want them. So basiclly I need to make my gemstones to spheres that are 1-2 mm or smaller.
Can I solve this problem without losing to much money?
Thank you!

I think you would be farther ahead to buy small faceted stones.

I think a 1mm sphere is going to be very difficult to come across. Whether you attempt to make them or if you attempt to find them for sale, I think you are going to have difficult journey. I think that if you were to look into gemstones which are faceted, if you need them that small, you will have much better luck. And I think it will be cheaper.
