Mine broke after 3 1/2 months of 24/7 running. Bought 2 replacements at a local farm supply store and they feel kinda "plasticy" compared to the original rubber one and are slightly smaller (just) in thickness/diameter. I adjusted belt tension down from where I had it and put in a new one and it broke after a few hours...replaced with remaining new one and it's still going 3 days later so we'll see how long this one lasts. All of which got me to wondering how long your belts last?? I have the Lortone 3A tumbler. Tks...

I have a 3A that's been running since Christmas day on the original belt. One day I put the drum on and missed the groove on the drum and it locked up the barrel for a day before I found it. It took a bit of twisting by hand to get the roller restarted but it's been running fine since then. My tumbler came with a spare belt which I still have.

I was doing fine with the original belt, until I started to overload with heavy tumbles (silver ore). I replaced it once with an aftermarket belt and the same thing - regular rocks were fine, but when I stupidly overloaded/overweight, it did not last 12 hours.

I have been running 2 QT66s for about 7 months 24/7 with no belt issues. The QT series does not use an O-ring like the smaller tumblers. The QT series uses a flat belt with cogs. I have been using and abusing a couple QT'S for years without one breakage. Those are tough belts. QT belt Chuck
