Corals are cool. Rios are just nuts. Is that some kind of puddingstone near the end? DSC_0488 jumped out at me, looks like modern art (but in a good way) Gorgeous batch.

Corals are cool. Rios are just nuts. Is that some kind of puddingstone near the end? DSC_0488 jumped out at me, looks like modern art (but in a good way) Gorgeous batch. I sawed about 15 Rio cobbles into thick slabs and broke them into tumbles. Mostly sawed the cobble in half. Resulted in about 20 pounds of tumbles. This one weighed 8 pounds, nasty grainy hard to hammer into tumbles Field window: 8 pounder sawn: A few tumbles from 8 pounder bad photo This was a big cobble too ~ 10 pounds, porous but hard and cool color Tumble from 10 pounder, also bad photo 2 pound breccia ? tims: Strange organic petrification tumbled 6 pound wood field windowed tumbled pretty moss tumbled field windowed palm tumbled Field windowed conglomerate tumbled petrified organic tumbled hematite? colored jasper I think this was a 1 pound grinder stone I used to quicken the grind in one of the barrels Anyway, a link to the dozen cobbles of which I tumbled some of the material hammered out of them. It will take several years to tumble the Rio load using 5 barrels at 6 pounds each. must have a 1000 cobbles. www.flickr.com/photos/67205364@N06/sets/72157682275791935

One long trip to prime Rio territory and you tumblers will be busy for a while with a myriad of different rocks. I f a man interested in tumbling lived and collected in that area he best have a lot of big tumblers.

My favorite might be the red one you called pretty moss, but a multitude of fine material. So we have about 2.5 more years of sweet Rio tumbles to look forward to?

I really like the palm, oh and the wood, and also the conglomerates. I guess I just like your rocks! ;-)
