Damn, Randy Garage Rocker, it didn't even take 2 full pages to end up with the fat guy at a shooting range...... 1,000 post ago, it would have taken at least 4 or 5 pages to escalate that far. Not sure what my point is, other than to say, 2,500 posts has made you a lot more efficient! Seriously though, your ability to produce great tumbles and then professionally photograph them, has forced a lot of us to rethink and refine our own processes. You have definitely had a positive impact on this community! On a personal level, you are the main reason I bought a camera an started down that road! Your encouragement to step outside that box and experiment with different forms of photography, has been invaluable! Can't wait to see what's next! - Jeremy

I am blessed.
I would tell you to not be such a stranger and get on the forum more often, but if you are out taking those beautiful pics instead, then I understand. If I had anything at all to do with you jumping into that pursuit, then I'm honored. You are turning out amazing work. Dare to dream, someday we need to get a photography/rock hounding trip on the books.

Post count does not impress me. Quality post count does. You have been a great addition to the forum. High quality photos of high quality material and always willing to share information. A good sense of humor never hurts either.

Sometimes, though, WOW!!! says a lot.

Humor is medicine for the soul! I'd love to be on here more! Work, family, Kids activities, and photography have limited my time! Getting something on the books needs to be a priority!!!!

Actually it's because I just discovered Giphy.com I'm like a kid in a candy store. In all seriousness Randy your contributions to the forum have been amazing and we are lucky to have you here

Those. Are. Fabulous. I am totally gob smacked by those photos. Haven't seen the quality of tumble like that in a long time. You need to come over to the Facebook page and show these newbies what can be achieved!

Don't know why we would cater to having traffic move away from here. Dave

Judging by the response to this thread, you better start thinking up the one for your 5000th post. This one will be tough to beat.

You need to come over to the Facebook page and show these newbies what can be achieved! KD Thanks for the compliment. I have a FB account, but haven't posted on there in a couple years. I'm afraid if I did that now, I'd be overrun with the 'where have you been', 'what have you been up to' queries. I gave it up about the time I joined this forum. At the time, I joked with my wife that I was enjoying interacting with 'strangers' more than the 'friends' on FB. It didn't take long before the folks on here didn't feel so much like strangers, and the rest is history. Now, I communicate with old friends that I want to keep in contact with via text and phone calls, rather than on FB.

Looking back through my old threads and can't believe this was over three years ago. From the looks of it, I posted 2,500 times in just over a year and a half. Now, all that time and just around 1,000 posts later, I wonder what happened? Where the hell has time gone?
