Yep, but what happened over the years with using it as a teachable moment by leaving reasons for voting one way or another? Same for the actual contest page.... (zero comments for the month?). Contests where such a lively page to be on,.... now?  |

I always look at the initial thread which asks for contributions to the contest. What is posted there, provides valuable info for final voting. My vote was for the cab, which the craftsman saw the greatest potential in the slab, made the preform to capture the best feature in the slab, completed the cab with the utmost care and beauty.
I never say who I vote for, as it can cause hard feelings with some. Should not, but it does.

Contests where such a lively page to be on,.... now? I still want and like comments or suggestions and recommendations about my cabs to try and make cabs better in the future. I think those that vote on best created cab make new folks shy away thus I recommend favorite cab with recommendations to the user if they are new. For new folks that are just getting into this they may think his or isn't good enough which is the wrong idea completing and entering one helps one learn with all the helpful advice and strive to do ones best. I speak from experience though. I know I have a ways to go on photographing to help bring out what I see in person. As for entries I can't say, but if people are doing it outside without a wood stove I can see that... or dressing up. Granted I slab stones at 20 below heated with a wood stove and bundled up as my winter is long and summer I'm finding stuff too much |

And I won't say what cab I voted for but cab 1 and 2 were really hard to choose between for me, all being made really nicely of course, but I went with my favorite or my first gut I really like the one
