Walked the fields for about an hour today. I almost fainted. Firest time I have found teeth here, except for modern ones, lol. Sorry photos are a little blurry, as I am still shaking. Teeth will be posted on the Fossil Forum for ID. The other, rock finds are mostly nice as well.

I am beginning to think someone is messing with me. Have found many rather unusual finds for this area. If this is legit, it would be a highly significant find for this area. Posted on fossil forum, so will wait and see. Holding off on notifying anyone else local about this.

I would say ... seriously a megladon tooth. ...in WI. But who knows not me. Seen teeth from SW WI but didn't look like them. Just saying.

WI and MN have shark teeth.
Not in my area because we are Ordovician here. The Decorah Shale is exposed here.

On the other forum, they are saying someone is messin' with me or put them there for their children to find in a hunt. Either way, cool find. Going to do more research to discover the habitat range and era of the species'. ID's were Otodus megalodon and Isurus desori from the Paleocene to the Miocene. 66 to 12 million years ago. Apparently the glaciers that covered this area did not cross any of either's habitat. I want to check further, as I really doubt anyone would have buried fossil teeth in my field to mess with me, but one never knows.

Cool! Meg and a mako. Does seem a bit strange for your area as those have to look of stuff you'd find in the SE US. Would seem to be pretty cool things to plant just to mess with ya though....Mel

If not a natural fossil find for your area, maybe they could have been a native American trade item? Did you find them near each other? If so, go back and look for any other artifacts in that general area.

Found in a general area where I found many other things, but mostly corals. In corn field, about 5 rows in from woods and 200+ yards from road. Broke down and sent photos to local history museum Director. He will be doing further research. There is a possible Native American Ceremonial space about 300 feet from where I found these. A modern one, probably constructed by former owner. Lots of deer skulls in a pattern, certain plants growing there. Some skulls are hanging on trees. Here is a photo of other finds from my 15 acres of fields: LOcal Geologists have said I could find anything that was located from Greenland to the SW from Ordovician period onward, so who knows. Also, this area is very close to the Ice Age Trail, so possibility of things being dropped while in transit long ago.

Photo shows about 5% of finds and does not include the best ones.
