What a generous offer. Taking on the three of us, and probably more. Know that Ali and I can handle primitive accommodations. What about you, Robin? I see a car pool in our future, lol. I have been to Atlanta once. Only a layover in airport. As long as there's an enclosed bathroom, I'm good.

Nothing exciting MsAli. It was about a Lake Oswego Oregon couple that got murdered on a camping trip to N California in 1988. They asked us not to clean the house, they wanted it to look lived in, well it looked lived in. Them film people are some hard working sun up to sun down folks. They were meticulous in looking after the property. Called back every week for 4 weeks asking if everything was OK with the property.

I built that building out of almost 100% scrap iron and freezer panels. I think it took 250 pounds of welding rods and 1000's of trips up/down ladder. I did the iron work by myself except hired a crane twice to raise two 40' X 20' walls to vertical. I was 48 yrs old and probably in best shape in my life. A did not get a building permit cause the neighbors have to trespass to see my business back here. Amazing how gov't. controls(holds back) us citizens. I love my freedom.

Curious, was that T.V. show shot at your place based on truth? If so, my sister worked with the lady, as far as I know, they never caught who did it.

Need a strong 10 or 12 inch lapidary saw to finish slabbing the end cuts. Would prefer it to have a 3450 RPM motor with a more aggressive blade. Lapidary saws are easier than tile saws with the sliding carriage. Large uncut red brick is standard mold size. Been casting 3 of those at a time. sawn brick is usually sold in seconds from time of listing. But I trade gl;ass for spear points as much as selling.

That is a serious pile of bricks. Honey, I got that brick casting down to an art. Those 30"x32" sheets of glass do not like to see me coming with glass cutter in hand. James the Ripper he he I chop that glass up 50 pounds at a time into 4x5 3x6 2x4 3x5 squares and slap them in the 10 pound molds in less than an hour now. Flip the switch and walk away. Come back 3 days later. It would really be bad if there were 2-3 more kilns on the property. I still have problems with certain combinations of glass. For some reason some cobalt blue's react with some opaque colors and have a little reaction that shatters the brick. Traced it down to an intermittent coating cobalt glass. All it takes is a small patch of that impossible to clean coating and it cracks the entire brick.touchy touchy I got a brick coming out today in honor of fernwood, hummingbirdstones and MsAli. It is composed of the following: 2 shades of transparent teal. one a deep color 1 shade of opaque teal 1 shade of opaque lavender/purple small pieces scattered 1 shade of transparent rich burgundy pink 1 shade of very transparent light pink scattered equally and heavily throughout to let light pass and break up dark and opaque colors So pink/teal/purple just like y'all told me. It is of psychedelic swirl pattern, but brick will vary a good bit in pattern and color combo as sawn left to right. collapsed vertical plates for the most part The mix stands a chance of having negative reactions and may have to many brittle spots for making spearheads, but should be fine for glass cabs. Chomping at bit for sun to come up and get sawing.

You've been a busy boy, jamesp! Was wondering when you were going to post more goodies for us to drool over!
Love looking at the patterns and color combos you come up with and there was plenty to drool over this morning! Shawn Durden does have a magic touch and the pattern in the point is beautiful.
Looking forward to seeing how the brick comes out with all of our favorite colors! Giddy with excitement, I am.
