Today's offerings. 5 - 6 inch slabs for $50 incl. postage. So this gets posted on the FB group and they PM/Paypal me I will number them with photo software, add photos of the transparent slabs with back lighting.  |

Weekly trade with master Willie Jester out of Arkadelphia. The 3 with fine swirl banding are from brick. The others from melt slab. The fine banded glass has much higher possibility of failure do to so many intersections of different glass. CAN NOT use my dark cobalt blue or opal white or breakage occurs. The ability to melt 19 colors of glass together and maintain good mechanical integrity at every junction is a true testimony to the high quality of this(China made he he) glass. It appears I may be traveling to pick up rejected Hot Mix glass from other parts of the country. No one wants it and everyone hates using it. Lots of it sitting in the backrooms of glass artists. Not many do brick casting though.      ALL of the above crumble my cookies. |

Willie is killing those transparent melts! I love them. I may have to commission him to knap me one to make a necklace for myself!

hummingbirdstones MsAli I'll send you each one. In my trades, the knapper's always ask if they should knap them sharp or knap them dull. I ask them to do sharp. But it only takes a few seconds to dull them. Y'all don't shave ?  Let me send some photo's if you want me to send them. Or I will get Willie's contact info if you want to commission him. He'd be flattered big time. If none of these suit you then you can contact Willie. He does rock points too. I get them in on trades with a bunch of other folks so I am getting quit a collection.

Ive been watching Willies stuff. I like what he does. That Rick guy is pretty darn good too and so is Adam.
I love how they get so excited over the glass

I love how they get so excited over the glass The other two are busy, it takes a good while for them to get a point back to you. Just saying. You can also go to Flintknappers.com. I find the prices very reasonable. One of my favs is Michael Newman on Flintknappers.com, he is incredible. |

Very close to actual size on a laptop screen Beth. OK. My screen shows the second one in the row to be almost 3" long. The 4th one to be about 2.5". Is that correct? I have to use screen magnification, so the sizes might be distorted. |
