I'm rebuilding my frind's old Lortone 12c slab saw.
Does anyone know the arbor shaft diameter?
Lortone wants about $48 plus shipping for the 2 bearings & bearing straps. I'm sure I can do better elsewhere.
Any suggestions about sources for these bearings & straps?

If you can't get the measurement just take the shaft and bearings and housing into a bearing supply shop, they will measure it for you and sell you the bearings probably cheaper than the originals. FWIW if the bearings have a number on them that actually gives them the size, the number often is the size.

that little white box above your title, type in 'lortone bearings' and click Go!

I don't have the old shaft to measure. Lortone doesn't state the diameter of the shaft, but from sleuthing I found that it's 5/8" diameter. I've found a source for the bearings & "straps" on ebay for lots less than Lortone. Lynn
