Who would have guessed (or maybe you all knew) but in my attempt to find the 3 balls needed to muffle the action of a new to me raytech hustler 15" vibratory lap, I discovered one vender on ebay that advocated whamo super balls 1.5" diameter. They are made with Tectron and fun to play with before they are installed. Once installed the vibe worked like a champion. They were doubley fun because I've been telling all my friends about Whamo super balls. I found no other suggested ball for this purpose. Play on!

Can you please say more about this? How much did it mute the sound? How many do you use?

I bought 3 Super Balls of about the same size for my Lortone 20 Vib Lap. Think they have been in use for over 2 years. Not familiar with the Raytech machine but I suspect it's the same as the Lortone and needs three to replace the original hard rubber balls.
Found mine in the Dollar store.

Let us be clear. The three balls constitute part of the suspension system of the vibratory lap. They cushion the lateral movement of the plate much like a spring might. I doubt it would work at all without something in their place. The three balls make a triangular frame against which the plate bounces. I hope this clarifies their use.
