This is a slab that one of our club members asked us to help identify. He's an older gentleman who is losing his eyesight to macular degeneration. He hounded a lot in Idaho, Oregon, Montana area and also Arizona. Bobby1 suggested it was Chapenite, but Max didn't hound California. Anyone have any other ideas?
This next one is one of ours that we "hounded" out of a club members discard pile in his yard. He did a lot of hounding in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Nobody has been able to help with this one (even the guy who dug it up)!
Thanks for any help!

First one is brecciated pastelite from Burro Creek, AZ. Second one I don't recognize but there are always one offs to be found all over the place. Just not enough of any one type for collectors to put a name to it. Type-wise it's in the moss/plume category.....Mel

Mel, thanks! That's what I thought it might be, too, because those guys were in Burro Creek all the time, but I've never been there and actually had never seen it in hand before.
