Doubt anyone was out in the Bering sea that time of year, maybe a whale or walrus. I've only witnessed one fireball, 3 am in the morning and the sky lit up for a few seconds brighter than noon. No sound, though, and it faded away to the north quickly. No reports in the local media, and not a real populous area, so maybe nobody else awake to notice or be sure what it was.

I jus picked this book up at the library I think the author is serious scholar And is adding insightful take on the UFO Phenomena Especially about how beliefs build Actually though I quit reading it Because the author won’t name sources Claims of- top secret type info Which make my already skeptical outlook Even more doubtful Maybe I'll go back into the text Especially after watching that 60 Minutes program About radio frequency wave attack on embassies or whatever going on...

According to CNN it had the energy of a 4.2 Kiloton bomb, which would be about 3 1/2 times smaller than the Hiroshima bomb, while the same report says it was 10 times larger than Hiroshima. ?? CNN
