OK so my challenge is I have a large slab of Kabamba jasper, AKA crocodile jasper in front of me and I'm looking for that one amazing cabochon sweet spot that pays for the slab. This is where most people familiar with the material would scratch their head and say that Kabamba jasper looks the same from one end of the slab to the other - which is true BUT, I present to you this piece that I saw on Instagram where the unknown lapidary found a way to take two of the trademark black spots and use them to create the illusion of a tree. It may not be possible to replicate on my slab but do your best to turn the photo in every direction and mark out your favorite cabochon and create something unique and tell us what you see. Winner gets to start the next contest - AND I will send the winner a small handful of preform slabbettes to play with (international will need help with the shipping cost). Without further adoodoo I present Kabamba Jasper. If you click on the photos they are linked to the full size (massive) photos for those who want to get serious about this lol.

Ha ha! I'm gonna beat everyone to it and declare the Edvard Munch Scream face! First picture, 10:00 outside. May not be my cab, but I just HAD to be first. I so rarely see these things!

Tommy I would like to add a file but for the last 6 months I have not been able to add a file. I click the upload file button and it moves me to the top of the forum and does nothing.

A volcanic island from ancient times. Can you see the lava flowing?

I see The Mock Turtle from Lewis Carroll's "Alice In Wonderland" (that is, the classic version, not a Disney take off).

This competition looked like so much fun I decided to join in. I hope I'm not too late yet - and otherwise feel free to boot me out of the competition. Owl chick: And for some additional fun I'm adding two other cabs (not competing, of course). Picasso face: Alien caterpillar version of Carmen Miranda: Edit: adjusted the image sizes.

Alien caterpillar version of Carmen Miranda: Definitely not too late thanks for entering. Your right brain and left brain are clearly firing on all cylinders - I envy people who can "see things" Alien caterpillar Carmen Miranda... I had to Google her
