Still trying to work on a wide variety. Couple of unknowns here, that I have some ideas, but would like some input. I tried to get a gemfeller shine on this richterite/sugilte/bustamite. Pretty good size, but kinda dark. Typical veil inclusions, but a really solid stone. I didn't wash this before the picture. SOOOOO pretty and big! Uvarovite garnet natural druzy. I've had this a long time and kept misplacing it. The bottom had to be leveled out with epoxy. It was terribly lopsided. Super shiny chrome chalcedony A freebiw MHP- not the best, but real stable, so I cabbed it. A mystery plume agte. Very nice. Im thinking Texas. Anyone have any opinions on it? kokoweef cave onyx. I just love this stuff. Another mystery agate. I saw a picture of what someone said was old Graveyard Point that looked just like this. Lots of pyrite, too. What do y'all think? Arizona chysocolla with lots of pyrite I'm thinking this is Parrot Wing chrysocolla. The chrysocolla is silicated. Indian Paint stone- ugh- soft as mud. But, I got a good shine. Some beautiful kona dolomite. thanks you Jugglerguy Large, hi dome Turkish blue lace onyx Lapis Lace Very stable flowering tube onyx Arizona chrysocola and azurite in quartz- some pyrite, too That's it for now. Thanks for looking!

Nice batch. Hard to pick a favorite. I've never seen a GYP plume like the oval you posted -- and I've been over a lot of that area plus I've seen loads of cabs cut from various types.
I think you did a great job on the richterite/bustamite/sugilite. I like that stone a lot as well as your "mystery plume."

I picked up a pretty big slab super cheap because the dry slab itself is super ugly. You wouldn't guess that decent cabs could come from it.

Cleaned up the garnet. Super sparkly. 51mm Better light, too. Compressed air is your friend.

Love that uvarovite. I have a few chunks hidden away I need to cut. I entered one in last December's cab competition. Too bad the crystal are always so small and appear mostly as druses. They'd make killer faceted gems if larger. The biggest crystal I've seen at a mineral show was about 1/4-inch in diameter. It was large enough to yield a sub-carat faceted stone but worth much more as a specimen.

Hard to pick a favorite out of this lot, Tela. Love the mystery plume, the Kokoweef, sugilite and the chrome chalcedony. I like all the rest a lot, too!

If course these are all great. I love the FTO Thank you! My slab didn't have a whole lot of flowers, but it had a great pattern nonetheless.

Very nice!!!! Love them all! The first mystery is almost surely Texas. Colors like Canadian River but can't be completely sure with all of the plumes in West Texas. Second mystery is a head scratcher. Maybe more clues in the rest of the slab. There are some old GP materials out there that look very un-GP.

Colors like Canadian River but can't be completely sure with all of the plumes in West Texas. Canadian River (Texas) was going to be my guess also. It takes on colors and shapes that remind of Wingate Pass plume agate at times. Beautiful set rockjunquie This girl is on FIRE!

Very stable flowering tube onyx Isn't {stable flowering tube onyx} an oxymoron? It's gorgeous! You must have been clinching up the whole time you had it on the wheels. I've crumbled every piece I've ever attempted - I stopped buying it to be honest.

I've crumbled every piece I've ever attempted - I stopped buying it to be honest. I know, right!? I was shocked at how stable this was. It's really big, too. I just got lucky, I guess. I didn't smell or detect any stabilization. Wish I had more!

I really like the flowering tube onyx, the lapis lace, and the chrome chalcedony. But they are all fantastic!
