Been dremeling on these the last couple of days. A couple of enablers friends here ( Tela and Walt) sent me some slabs and I had to try. Stoney Creek and Ohio Flint. The post office wasn't very nice with the Stoney Creek. I took one of the broken pieces to work on. I think they'll both turn out nice, thanks for looking- any input is much appreciated, good or bad! First the slabs... And where I'm trying to take them...

Very nice — the flint cab's interesting patterns and shape really present opportunity for design!

Very nice — the flint cab's interesting patterns and shape really present opportunity for design! Thank you, sir! I cut where I drew the lines, I may be able to get two out of that larger top piece of flint. I'm just trying to learn to do cabs- I'm not very good at the design part, yet. Hopefully I'll get there!

Lookin' good, Mike. I like the freeform shapes and the overall shape is nice and even looking.
If anyone wants to correct on that "stoney creek" feel free. It was a definite maybe.

All I do is freeforms for now- whatever shape the rock wants. Although I seem to do similar shapes most of the time... I only have about a half an hour on the flint so far, it definitely has a ways to go!

Nice. Like the colors and pattern of the first one best. I like it also. I have about two slabs that size- I can't wait to do a couple more (and bigger) cabs of it. It's really beautiful stuff.

Excellent! You're really getting the hang of it. Both of those cabs are going to be awesome.
