This one is giving me fits, it seems like the deeper I go with the dremel the more pits show up. But I really like it so I'll keep going...maybe until there's nothing left but I'm going to try. Thanks for looking.

I know it's frustrating. With some materials you just have to accept the pits. I just got some prehnite that is positively cavernous. Don't know what to do with it. It did start out real thick and I did hit a spot that wasn't as bad as the rest, but it's still pretty bad.

I'm pretty happy with the shape and I have other rocks to massacre so maybe I'll just fix up the girdle a bit, toss it in the tumbler and see what happens. I really like the fortification and the rest of the stone isn't too shabby either. The worst part is that I have about 6 more slabs of that same material that I'd like to work and I don't have enough knowledge or experience to know if they're going to behave the same way!

I like it! Sometimes stuff is just pitty. You could always fill the pits if they bother you.
