I'd say you passed the test, with flashing colors. Great looking stone!

I took that photo with a single LED headlamp in a white fired clay bowl to get that weird spot effect. Not sure why the surround comes out looking purplish.

Yeah the bowl kind of bounces the light around. Making a little easier to "capture" the fire

Hey Chris good to see you and c wow that's a nice fire agate. I like the shape a lot better than the carved ones!

So if I keep working on these I might find some cool stuff inside? It's a beautiful cab!

Could it be the curvature of the bowl increasing farther away from the stone? More light reflecting back from the flatter bottom?
I knew it was a great photo, but I only saw the purple in the middle of the shot!

Beautiful cab, Christopher, and also ingenious way to picture it!

christopherl1234 - Long time, no hear! Welcome back from the dead. Nice Fire agate, but that lamp reflection is distracting. See if you can get a good pic by lighting it more from the sides. Lynn

Very nice!! It sure is a rarity to get domed fire agate instead of the bumpy ones. Great to see your work again.
