Thank you, sir! I'm still critical of the little imperfections that show up in the pictures, but it's all a learning process. I just went out to the shop and after a month and 3/4 I had a Broken belt on a thumler I opened it up and the Rose Quarts I was doing is finished and ready for the UV-18 and is 4 other containers full I have Mahogany Obsidian, Snowflake, Jaspers, Rose Quarts., and Mex Lace that will be going in the finished stages plus most of my rotary tumblers need to be open on June 4th and they will be done all total being over 100 lbs of rock! Whew, you said it!

Mike, that's a sweet batch. You should be proud of the work you've put in on this hobby since you started hanging around here. This and your other accompanying posts are validation for all the patience, persistence and dedication. Great stuff!

Nice job! Don't be too critical of yourself, there is plenty of time to keep improving. That is one of the things that keeps me interested in this. Al Thank you, sir. I've always been my own worse critic. Improving is one of the things that keeps me interested as well. And learning to cab, learning to wrap, finding more rocks. Yep, I'm for sure addicted.

Thank you, sir! I'm still critical of the little imperfections that show up in the pictures, but it's all a learning process. Well if your like me sometimes I go for the Gusto and take everystone and introduced them to MR. CABKING who smacks em with a couple Left hooks and lights out they come out amazing. There is one guy on here who is the toughest act to Follow and that would be Chuck Drummond Island Rocks who produces some of the best polishes and pictures on here, anyway I notice some of his has some deep pits and imperfections. Sometimes when ya have a batch in the tumbler instead of stopping the whole batch and just to redo a couple your better off moving them along to the next stage. Now if you had to have everyone looking perfect (And Some I Have) I have done several batches that way then they took me a whole week. You have to understand most of my tumbles produce at least 10 lbs of stone I sometimes take whats in the thumbler and combine it with whats finished in a QT66 and slam it in the UV-18. So what I am saying is don't beat up on yourself except the good with the bad. some of those imperfections give the stone character. There are definitely a lot of hard acts to follow on this site, yourself included! I'm still working with rotary tumblers and the time it takes still amazes me. I have rocks still going that have been in since Christmas. Thankfully I've found other ways to keep me busy with this hobby, of course now that the weather is finally turning all I want to do is get out and hunt!

There's no place I'd rather be hanging around, there are so many people and such a wealth of information. I think I've improved in the last year, but there is still so much to learn and do! But I'm definitely having fun and in the end that's all that really matters... Well, that and shiny rocks!
