Okay, I hope my photo will work for this, I don't have a nice light box. The slab is a jasper I recently slabbed from an approximately 50 lb piece, a friend thinks it's from Hay Creek. It's 71/4" wide and 5 3/4" tall. I will make up a box of rough or slabs for the winner, their choice. They can then start their own contest if they wish. Contest ends 6pm pacific time Sunday, July 7. When I look at your slab, I just think the best cab will take advantage of the white area for maximum value contrast. Here's what I like — lighter and darker areas cut by a bold white diagonal for a 2" or shorter cab:
And cutting and pasting from one of the templates rockjunquie recently posted makes it easy in PE.  |

I like it, but I thought that white bit was reflection.
Is PE Elements? I haven't figured an easy way, yet. I'm used to PS, but I don't have it anymore.

Done, and the white is quartz. There are some light reflections as well but best I can do without a light box. |

I used the front of the slab:   Interesting material, by the way. There's lots of different cabs in there if you take a (very) close look. |
