The Prescott Gem and Mineral Club's annual show is coming up!
August 2-4 at the Prescott Valley Event Center (now renamed the Findley Center), 3201 N. Main Street, Prescott Valley, AZ.
If you're in the area, pop in and say hi. Vince and I have a booth there every year.
There will be over 60 vendors from all over the western US and this year we are hosting the RMFMS' annual conference. The club has an awesome fluorescent rock display, geode cracking, mineral identification area and a kids area. It is the biggest and best show in Northern Arizona (and keeps getting bigger every year).
Parking is free. Entrance fees are $5 Adults, $4 Senior 65+, Vets, Students and kids under 12 free with a paid adult. There is an ATM on the premises, a food vendor and it's air conditioned.
Come up to the beautiful high country and rockhound in comfort.

If we're not staying with friends in Talking Rock, we usually stay at the Comfort Suites just up the road from the event center. I remember when it was Tom's Toyota Center. Thanks for the heads up.

Actually, Tim's Toyota Center until a couple of years ago. Tim's sold out to Findley's, so the event center was just the event center last year. We had all our advertising printed with Prescott Valley Event Center on it and they changed the name to Findley's Event Center right after we did that.
It would be great to meet you in person. I hope you can make it!

Tom...Tim...whatever. At least I remembered it was three letters and started with a "T." I'll see what we can do. If we head out there, I'll be sure to let you know.

Crap. As much as we're overdue to get to your neck of the woods, it's probably not going to happen. Pisses me off in one sense. Still looking to relocate to your region. But, we have other things going on here at home and can't make the trip to Prescott...again.

I’d love to be there! Love the idea of “rock hounding in comfort”. We have a real good show. Would sure love you to come on up sometime. I enjoy meeting folks I've been talking to for years! Weather forecast this weekend is extremely good, too. Sunny today and 90, partly cloudy the rest of the weekend and high-80's. Perfect! The monsoons are even holding off for the entire weekend (so they say), which almost never happens.

Glad you liked the show pics. The main floor is 85' x 225' - including a "stage" area that isn't part of the hocky rink.
There are vendors out on the concourse, too. It's in a 5,000 seat arena, if that helps anyone get an idea of the size.
