OK, now that you are done laughing, this was a great accomplishment for me. Did a mixed batch of hard and softer rocks/cabs in rotary. 60/80 grit. Let them run for 12 days. No cushioning media. Had specific goals in mind for the softer ones. I had slightly shaped, girdled and slightly domed this cab with dremel, whetstone and files. The goal for this one was to take off some of the rough spots, while maintaining what I had done. A bonus would be for some undercutting of the black areas to provide texture. I had see a cab Tela rockjunquie achieved this with in a vibe. I also wanted to maintain the druzy pocket. It worked! The photos do not show much of the undercutting, but it is there in places. It is now in a bag of water waiting for me to decide what's next. I am thinking to wait until I have a batch ready to go in 1200 AO. Also, if anyone can provide an ID for this I would appreciate it. Was in a mixed box I purchased from Diane, drocknut Hardness is about 6-6.5. Thanks. The flat back is first. Then some other views:

Kinda looks like silver lace onyx. I'd polish and see how it works. It should polish well.

Thanks. I was wondering if it was Silver Lace. The green threw me.

Very nice and the girdle looks good. The cab reminded me that I'm making BLT for dinner.

Oops, didn't see I got tagged until just now. I've been off the computer a lot because I'm helping a friend recover from surgery. I do believe it is Silver Lace Onyx. I collected just a little from the Sierra Palona club's Onyx claim near North Edwards area long ago when I was in California. But you said it was hard material and I don't think Onyx is that hard. It could be Cady Mountains Agate from the North Cady's. I did collect some of that that didn't have much color in it. By the way, glad your girdle stayed put....
