Can anyone provide input on cutting tigers eye? Suggestions would be helpfull. We have a 100 resperator and a jewlery 6" saw. I was told not to cut it because it is copper and copper dust is bad

No, not copper- asbestos. But, it is bound with silicated rock and it is not the worst kind of asbestos. I cut it, as do many other people. Use lots of water.

That's important - not only to reduce dust but because overheating can cause annoying little fleabites/chipouts in this stuff.

Cut across the fibres. Use sharp new sanding wheels if possible to cut the fibres rather than dragging them out of the stone.
As far as I know Tiger eye is a pseudomorph, that is a mineral retaining the crystal shape but completely replacing the original. Silica replacing an amphibole.

Look on the edge and cut it parallel to the lines, usually at an angle to the top and bottom surfaces.
