I have high hopes for this Tee Pee, it's beautiful. May not be much to look at yet, but I'll get there...quite a ways to go. The rough and what I'm trying to bring out. Thanks for looking.

Here's an updated pic. After working for another 1/2 hour on this one last night, it's going into the tumbler. I'm not sure it looks any different that the above pic- and for some reason I seem to only make high domed cabs...

Wow, you have a good idea for material. I like how you show the before / after pictures of your cab here. But I am not sure I would have picked up the original rock from Slide 1. It sure turned out to be a looker though. I know that when I am grinding down a rock in hopes of interesting patterns, that there must be a special feeling when you start to see really cool patterns in it like this one. Some day I hope to know what that feeling is like too!

High-domed cabs are cool. I cut my share of low-domed cabs usually because the slabs are 1/4" thick, but I like to cut higher domed cabs when the rough permits.

As far as the pictures go, I'm not sure that the side that I decided to cab is showing in the first pic. I try to ignore the shape of the stone and not go with the easiest path to a cab. If I remember right I changed my mind three or four times on this one to try and capture what I wanted. And I've chased a lot of interesting patterns lately- sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't.
