I wonder if one of your wheels has a rogue diamond in it. Does that scratch go away on a lower grit wheel? Cerium gives imperial a killer wet polish if you have any.

I was having skipped spots sanding in the 600 and 1200 grit and then polished over. I realized my wheel weren't broken in even thought they were old. I really worked some cabs over them and the problem went away. I had a bruneau that I must have dome four times before figuring out what was wrong.

I have a cerium wheel i use at the end, this guy never made it that far
