I have been trying not to spam RTH with a bunch of my videos, but I thought you guys might enjoy a couple recent ones I've done. The first is of an island off Alpena, where I live. I made a post of it several years ago when my son and I visited. There are some cool pieces of shale and some concretions there. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/66575/sulphur-island-off-alpena-michiganThe other video is of a place I just discovered, thanks to a subscriber on my channel. It's a stream that completely disappears into the rocks and then comes back out a couple hundred feet away. It's one of the coolest things I've seen around here.

That was really cool! It's so nice to see what the environment is like in other areas. You probably take your area for granted because you live there and see it everyday, but where I am, the immediate area, it's all sand, clay and mostly scrub pine. Except for the oak in my yard. Your scenery reminds me a lot of Maine. Beautiful. The area in your video is nice with all the little waterways and hidden secrets.
Speaking as a moderator, I don't think you need to worry about "spamming" RTH with your videos. I think most people enjoy them and by and large they are rock related. Plus, as a long time member you can be trusted to bring good content to the board.

Alright, I'll post more often. I do not take the place I live for granted. Well, I probably do to some extent, but I'm also very thankful for where I live. Both of the places in these videos are unique. I don't know of other places like them in this area.

Thanks for that, fun and interesting to watch, pretty country. Any rough idea of the elevation change from the stream entry underground to its return to the surface?

Obviously there is an elevation change, I just couldn’t perceive it, so my guess is that there’s not too much.

That underground river is really cool. Looks like some wild terrain. Good job on the video as usual.
