When I was about 8 I got a tumbler for my birthday. Tumbled 2 complete batches & poof it was gone. Don't know what happened to it. I suspect my parents were tired of the sound of the plastic barrel. Lol then around 2012 I purchased a new tumbler. On a very tight budget I wasn't able to stay with it very long. I know to many rough & grit can be expensive well for me it was beyond my $reach$ after a couple finished batches. So here I am today, started my tumbler back up after many years. Still on a tight budget but I managed to save some $ up to buy some grit & run some of the rocks that have been sitting around in bags all this time. Owensville Indiana does not produce much tumbling rough so I am at the mercy of the mail order rock merchants. Anyone have suggestions about where I can score some quality rough at low(ish) cost? Glad to be in this community. Looking forward to meeting some fellow rock lovers.

I’m not a tumbler, but many RTHlings buy from The Rock Shed. Welcome!

Welcome aboard. Glad you were able to get back to your hobby. Not many decent rocks here in New Jersey either, but I still look for my own and do the best I can. Never know what you’ll find along those rivers and creeks.
