We recently bought this little chunk from a gentleman from Montana, but he didn't remember what it is. He thought it was from northern Arizona. Anyone recognize it? Thanks!

I'll hope someone has an ID, too. If I haven't given it away, I also have some of that and cannot recall what it was (thought maybe Owyhee basin somewhere, but could even be AZ wood replacement ??).

The brain cell that might have been feebly sparking when I saw your photo might have been triggering Belvadee jasper-agate (from Oregon). There can be quite a bit of variation, but the colors and patterns seem similar. Pics below are 2 sides of the same slab, wet and dry:

I have never seen any type of jasper that looks like that from Northern AZ. Looks more like something that would come from Nevada (maybe around the Goldfield area?) to me.
Could be Belvedee, but I've always seen it with the blue/green coloring in it.

That pink color is really throwing me off for Bevedere. I've never seen reddish/pinkish colors in it before.

How about some better pictures...The stone is wet. Its cloudy here so the colors are slightly muted. Thank you everyone!

It looks like jasper that we find here in Montana. I've cut many with similar colors inside.

I see a similarity to Rocky Butte (Owyhee) in this one. I have cut quite a bt of it and this could be from there.
