Brrr. Only -5 here now. WC of maybe -10, as there are light winds. When I leave work today, WC is predicted to be -30 or lower. Leaving from work at 11:00 PM. Having my emergency kit in car. Wearing heavy clothes.
Roads are ice covered by me now. No traffic, even snow/ice removal for the last 3 hours.
I hope you can get our car started.
Safe travels to and from work.

Thank you Beth
We have 139 patients today & I will bet 98% will show up too, otherwise my butt would be crawling back under the covers and not leaving the house.

There is nothing like running outside to start the car and every single bit of exposed skin, including the inside of your nostrils screams NNNNNNOOOOOOOOO.
She started like a dream though.

Other night the dog was barking (at the full moon?) around 2 am I couldn’t handle it any more. So garage time. She lives in a heated dog house. Couldn’t find my crocs.... went out barefoot hoping to stay on packed snow. It’s always an experience. When I come back inside I have to do a couple laps on the warm floor, lol!

There is nothing like walking out into those kind of temperatures and your nose hairs freeze and stick together. I don't miss that sh*t at all.
Stay safe and bundle up y'all!

If I recall right, my nostrils start freezing and sticking together between 6 and 8 below ! There are (NOT) many reasons to go out in those kind of temperatures, a person should think ahead and stock up on essentials if possible ! Just watched a video from Siberia showing guys ice fishing and sleeping overnight in a tent with a small wood stove for heat.
Ya gotta be REALLY hungry !
