#nailedit! That's beautiful Robin Thanks, Ali! I wanted to do a chatoyant piece like you and Nate and it took me a while to dig that bugger out of the hoard.

Here's my entry! Paddlesack/Marra Mamba Tiger Eye
Slab with preform marked out:
Oops! Trim Saw malfunction:
Cab after I scootched it up a bit:
Beautiful capture!
I have always seen these called Mt Brockman Tiger Eye. Is it the same thing?

Thanks Tela! Yes it's from the Mt. Brockman mine. It just has those distinctive line formations that are called Packsaddle. (Fixed the name in original post - dyslexia strikes again!)

A really fine polish stone cab you crafted, Robin To have it break on a scribe pattern, and save it as you did; was taking an agonizing heartbreak to a skillful finis`!

Finally had a nice morning for pictures. Here's my brecciated rhodochrosite. Lots of color and contrast. It is about 46mm across the top. I wanted to get in as much pattern as I could. The line just above the top cut line is a row of pits and holes.

What a gorgeous cabochon! So symmetrical and the pattern is so cool. I like the mini-shield at the top right.

I like the shield, too.

Ok, so I know I am way out of my league here but figured I'd throw mine in for the hell of it. It's a poor mans cab shaped and sanded with a dremel and finished in the lot o from the AO500 stage thru polish. Dont know what the material is. Measures 52mm x 24mm. The slab- The cab-
