I've loved rocks all my life and was even given a starter collection by a geologist when I was about 10 years old. I've collected the rocks and the only time I ever did anything with any of them was in 8th grade I had an art class. I pillow cut, polished, and set a piece of what I was told was jaspar, into a ring which I gave to my mother. 50 years later, I finally got a tumbler and it's mostly because of my wife who's been picking up beach agates here in Nikiski, AK. She's must have close to a hundred pounds along with tons of just "cool looking" rocks. Anyway, as I write, my first stage of my first load ever is on it's second day. I might have put too much water in, and did not use any fillers...found all this out watching youtubes for the past hour. Anyway, my wife makes beads and necklaces and stuff but said she wasn't going to make any jewelry out of any of these rocks. I'll let you know if she changes her mind...hee-hee. Well, I guess it's time to "rock on" and say nice to be here and when I can, I'll check in. Thanks!
