Hi there!
Thanks for reading, I’m a newbie, I got a tumbler for Christmas this year and have just started using it. I have a potentially stupid question... does the 3lb capacity mean I can put up to 3lbs or rocks in the barrel or does that indicate the capacity of the motor including the weight of the barrel itself? To be safe I’ve only been putting up to 1lb of rocks so far.
Thank you!!

Fill the barrel 2/3 or 3/4 full with rock, add grit, and water to bottom of the top rock layer. It will weigh far more than 3 lbs at that point but no matter. You got extra belts with your tumbler, all is fine.
Welcome to RTH!

The 3 Pound designation indicates the barrel size, it does not indicate how much to put in there.
