I've been looking for something affordable on ebay for a while and got this slab. 68x61mm. I kept tyring to reduce the size and this as close as I could get.

Okay, for a beauty like that what do you call a reasonable price?

almost a shame to make cabs out of that one! Yup. The piece with mauve is also great. What Will Rogers said about land could also be said about Deschutes: "they ain't makin' any more of it."

The slab is special in that it will make great cabs, one large display cab or a polished slab. The preform I marked on the left has an a+ pattern and the other one is also nice. I'm in no hurry to cut the slab since I have other stuff to work on. I'll see if I can pick up some more. www.ebay.com/itm/Mw-DESCHUTES-PICTURE-JASPER-Rough-Slab-Oregon-/333561847791?hash=item4da9d5dfefThis one will go for $35-50 since it is larger and very nice slab but not was well suited to making cabs. I made this one some time ago and sold it recently. It also has an a+ pattern and is larger.

The Deschutes in the link above went for $40.78 and I probably would have needed to go over $50 to get it. I would have bought at $35 but it was beyond that with 30 seconds to go.

I love the colors and patterns in that Deschutes slab but those slabs cost too much for me to learn to butcher and turn into dust. Maybe in another ten years I will learn to cab and be bidding against you for them but until then I will just sit on the sidelines and admire. I will have to check out your store and see if there is something I need to turn into jewelry.
