A local Arts organization near me is doing something amazing. Last year they purchased a few 3D printers for others to use for visual arts. A 3D lab was set up at their headquarters. Now those printers are being used 24 hours/day to make face shields. They put out a call for locals to drop off their 3D printers to be utilized. Last I heard 6 printers were dropped off. The face shields are being distributed to local medical facilities, fire and police departments. The community is coming together. Many local manufacturers and businesses are assisting. Either with materials, electric upgrades, manufacturing process upgrades and materials, monetary donations, volunteers to print and assemble to masks. A major Wisconsin health care provider (Marshfield Clinic) recently awarded a grant to Create. This will go a long way to ensure production continues 24/7. Last I heard, over 300 shields are being made daily. If anyone is interested, here is link to the specs for the face shields. The specs are constantly being improved and updated. saleen895594.wixsite.com/covidfiles?fbclid=IwAR1uemZSao7w4E3ZlzfAgakvsIOU-1h7nyvcf-M-jDUHzN-Y2HI3eq4TYY0
