Howdy
While were taking this break ha
I’m using Microsoft Photo Wondows 10 For my uploading from camera cropping,, simple editing,,,ect.
It really sucks…mostly
O it as some great features and seems to be free May have to stay with it
But it downloads junk photos I can’t delete And doesn’t seem to delete my images So it’s just building up crap Its probably some update b.s
Anyone else use it ? Same problems? Solutions?
Thanks

I have always used Photoshop but that's a very steep learning curve and a steep price. Search for free photo editing software, there are a few apparently decent ones out there, I say apparently because I haven't used them, I stick with what I know.

Take a look at Irfanview. It's free (supported by donations) and safe to download. The only (apparent) downfall is I'm not sure if you can do batch editing (at least I haven't found it or used it). It's very popular, and there are plenty of tutorials to be found.

Microsuft Photo Does everything I need
It just real funky Its like Microsfit is saying: well its free so were going make it glitchy bitdhy because there is no real frreee
anyway I'll probably stick with it till the rock season ends in month or so -only take pictures of rocks and the occasional mohs- then I can reappraise ...
Thanks guys !

I've used Windows Live Photo Gallery for years and I love it. It came bundled with Win 7 and when I upgraded to 10 I asked my computer guru if it was compatible. He said Yes and set it up for me. It doesn't work quite as well with 10 as it did with 7 but no big deal. It's simple, effective and easy. I also use PhotoShop now and then for special features but 99% of the time WLPG is my "go-to."

Mohs, I believe you said that you had a Cannon camera. ZoomBrowserEX came with my Cannon camera and works great for me. Perhaps you could get that for free.

That interesting Rick I'm not sure this MS Photo software, that came installed with Window 10, is the same program as Windows Live ? Your guru may have done ya big favor by copying over from 7 to Win 10 I'll look into it but Its no big deal I like MS Paint I use that a lot The crop function is really good ... thanks!

Very strong program similar to Photoshop is Gimp. www.gimp.org/ It’s open source and free. Like Photoshop, there is a steep learning curve. Documentation can be found online free
