Hi all. These are from my last two trips out. The rose quartz, clear quartz, and yellow quartz are from Bautista Canyon and will be tumbler fodder. The epidote crystal clusters and quartz crystal are from a location in the hills behind my mom’s property in the Lakeview Mountains. Dont mind my crusty thumb; I work construction so my hands never look clean no matter what I do lol.

Is that rutile or tourmaline in that last pic? Maybe some of both...

This is the best quartz crystal I’ve found there, the others have been chipped or have 1 or more corroded faces. The green at the tip is epidote, the long black lines I’m guessing are rutile. There are no signs of tourmaline at this site but less than a mile away are Pegmatites carrying schorl tourmaline. As far as I can see these crystals are not coming from a typical Pegmatite deposit, more like a contact or vein. I’ve found pieces of quartz with only one or no crystal facing on them that also have the rutile looking inclusions shooting thru them.
